January 5th, 2010 by Nick

Things they are a changin!!!!! The new year is upon us and we are letting you know what games we are looking forward to most in 2010. We also are starting out this week with Tour de Blogz with news of the gaming nature including some you-here-it-here-first news from eye witness reporter Jason Burns. Star Trek Online Beta for a buck at Target, NCAA might get sued, White Knight Chronicles comes to the US, and FFXIII takes a sales dive.

In Recent and Rediscovered this week we talk about Assassin’s Creed II and Mass Effect. We also hit up our backlog with some games that have been on the shelf for a while. Plus, one of us gets a new console for Christmas. It may very well be a Dreamcast.

In Tour de Blogz we discuss the PSP GO adding stuff to make it less likely to GO with you.  We also confirm that Diablo III will be the end of the world and let everyone know that you can stop playing WoW, because someone already beat it.

We revisit our Wallet Watch talk from before the fall releases started and see how we did on our ability to not spend money.  And of course, Steve gives us another valuable nugget of knowledge in his zombie tip of the week.

Midwest Nerds Podcast #13 – The Uncanny Valley

November 27th, 2009 by Nick

This week on Midwest Nerds we are very very late.  So, please note that this episode is for last week.  Also, since it is a holiday here in the US, we won’t be releasing another show until the week of December 6th.  Sorry for the wait and we hope you enjoy.

On Recent and Rediscovered this week we talk about Left 4 Dead 2.  We also rediscover some games with upcoming sequels such as Assassin’s Creed and Mass Effect.  In tour de blogs, we have a whole lot of news for you including the sad news that is the closing of Pandemic.  We also talk about Reggie throwing down and spittin some trash to 3rd party developers.

We dip into the midwest nerds mailbag and tell some listener’s tales of “gaming gone bad”.   Of course, we round out the week with Steve’s Zombie Tip of the Week.

We would like to thank our houseband this week “brother love”. Check them out at www.bortherloverocks.com.
